Historically, the Black history in Asheville, North Carolina has not been shared as widely as other histories across the state, but the record is rich with self-determinism among Black residents in the Land of the Sky.
Michael S. Williams, consultant and Black On Black Project founder presents Weariness to the Flesh, a project that highlights the contributions of Asheville's Black community that connects their self-determining spirit to their African past.
